What we can and cannot help with

LatchDen is an independent publisher. Writing guides is the whole of what we do, so there are several things people reasonably ask for that we are not able to provide:

• We do not carry out any work on site. There is no call-out service, no installation service, no repair or emergency lockout service, and no engineer we can send.
• We do not sell locks or any other hardware. We do not hold stock, we do not take orders, and we cannot supply parts, keys, batteries or replacement components.
• We do not give quotes or estimates. We publish typical price ranges inside our guides, but we cannot price your particular door or job.
• We do not provide any other paid service — no consulting, no on-site surveys, no lock opening, no key cutting, no property assessments.

If you need a lock fitted, opened, repaired or supplied, contact a licensed locksmith or the lock manufacturer’s own support line. For a fault on a lock still under warranty, the manufacturer is the right first call: going through them keeps the warranty intact.
